The Nebraska chapter of CSN is done in celebration of Caleb Gulizia, who is battling brain cancer. Caleb is 10 years old and a 6 year survivor of a cancer with no cure. At just 4 years old, Caleb was diagnosed with a very aggressive brain tumor. Since his diagnosis, Caleb has endured countless surgeries, six weeks of daily radiation therapy and 18 months of chemotherapy.
Due to the aggressive treatments used to help save Caleb’s life, he now has serious side effects. The worst of these have been two major strokes that robbed Caleb of his independence. He now needs help walking, eating and talking. All of these side effects are due to lack of a better alternative. You can help make a real difference for these kids. Research is their greatest hope.
Even though Caleb has been through more than most adults, he always has a smile on his face and a good attitude. He loves baseball, trains, his little brother, trucks and movies. Caleb is an inspiration to anyone he meets.
